Why 'Perfectly Picked'?

I'm a very specific person and I know what I want! I thought that with 'Perfectly Picked' it would reflect me in my own personal way. I spent a lot of time looking at other people's blogs and thinking why they might named their blog what they did, and it helped me come to mine! I love food, nutrition and fitness, but I didn't want my blog to be limited to just that. Obviously, I plan to blog about those 3 things a lot, but I also want to blog about my life and what I'm doing! And now a look at me;

Who I Am

From a very young age, I have always been active, especially with dance; I took jazz, tap, ballet and acro. Within the first year of moving to a new hometown (which is where I lived from grade 6 until I left for uni), I got placed in a tap mini group, then the following year got my own solo!
(I'm the little one on the right in the front row)

After I finished dancing (took a few classes here and there), I started going to the gym and fell in love with running! One day I hope to enter into a half marathon; as long as I can muster up the courage to do so.

With school, I decided to go away for university (just over an hour’s drive away from my hometown). There, I got my Bachelor of Arts in ‘Linguistic Cognitive Science’ and graduated in June, 2008! I had planned to be a speech-language pathologist, but then, nutrition got in the way.
Since 2007 I have been thoroughly interested in nutrition and decided that I wanted my career to be this instead of speech. I still got my undergrad, but plan on going back to school in Fall, 2011 for Applied Human Nutrition. The plan is to become a Registered Dietitian!

A big part of who I am came into my life in 2007; my husband, Tyler. He’s so amazing and supports me in whatever I want to do! We were married in October, 2009 and each day keeps getting better. Here’s a few pictures from our wedding:

We were lucky enough to have such an amazing wedding party.

My girls were the best!

After getting married, we went to L.A. and San Diego (checking out surrounding areas!) for our honeymoon.

We even went on the 'Price is Right'!!! (Didn't get called up, but still fun nonetheless).

A day trip to Del Mar:

It didn’t stop there! We left straight from L.A. for Australia and lived there for 4 blissful months; it was our own extended honeymoon!

We returned home March, 2010 and decided to move across country from Ontario to BC!

BC has been an awesome experience and we’re thinking of staying out here at least another summer and possibly building our own house.

Our immediate plans are to travel to Florida for the winter and see what happens!!
